Augment your AR public bench. The project is conceptually multifaceted. Its ambition is to engage people in public site creation by adding and editing virtual content attached to public benches. The project has individual as well as public dimensions. The personalized bench could perform like a box of secrets or memories. On the opposite side, the bench could behave like a social media platform, if users opt for sharing their content. A platform that can only accessed by going physically to the location to engage with the embedded virtual content.
Users can share their painted bench, or whatever content they added for the public to either view, comment on, or edit. What type of content could become popular?

The first prototype
During the user test. I invited passers to test the app. In the current state, users can paint on the bench. Store their content to the cloud and load it. The app is built on top of the Niantic ARDK kit. It uses mesh occlusion to allow realistic occlusion of people for example. In this picture, Mehdi agreed to pose in front of his piece of art.
